Applications are invited from creative and self-motivated scientists with a track record of excellence in high throughput screening, cell biology, structural biology or computational chemistry from academia or industry. The successful candidates will join a multidisciplinary research programme at CCBT that aims to pioneer new approaches for the modulation of intracellular signalling pathways altered in human diseases using small-molecule tools, and for the generation and testing of new therapeutic concepts.

General Key criteria are as follows:

  • Candidates may come from academic or industrial backgrounds. Consideration will be given to candidates who hold (a) a relevant Masters degree with several years’ relevant experience, OR (b) a PhD with or without subsequent postdoctoral experience.
  • An excellent track record of achievement is essential, reflected in peer-reviewed publications (for candidates from academic backgrounds) or in the documented delivery of scientific programmes, milestones or objectives (for candidates from industry).
  • A working knowledge of methods for small-molecule lead discovery would be an advantage, but is not essential (particularly for academic candidates).
  • Candidates must be capable of excellent teamwork in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, where meeting timelines will be essential.
