RECRUITMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The Center for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), was established in 2009 with the support from the Department of Biotechnology Government of India and is looking for a Chief Executive Officer. This is an independent position reporting to the Board of Directors. This is a contractual position working at the will of the Board of Directors. Salary and other conditions of appointment are negotiated at the time of appointment.

C-CAMP is now a not for profit company and is involved in managing core-research facilities at the Bangalore Life Science Cluster (made of NCBS, inStem and C-CAMP). It provides services and training to the campus and to many users outside the campus. C-CAMP is involved in technology development, IP management of the campus and Technology Transfer, and also a thriving Innovation Acceleration and Entrepreneurship activity including the provision of Incubation Space. It has been involved in the set up and support of around 40 start-up companies.
QUALIFICAITONS:
A. Essential:
1. PhD/MD or M.Sc with at least 10 years experience in scientific research in an
academic/industrial setting with very high skills in use of at least one technology in
bioscience applications.
2. At least 5 years experience in directing Core Research Facilities/Large user facilities or
Leading large Drug Discovery Projects.
3. Experience in administration and management at a senior level in an academia/industry.
4. Broad understanding in the use of technology in various areas of biology – including
translational research.
5. Outstanding inter-personal skills with ability to work with Academics and Industry.
B. Desirable:
1. A good understanding of intellectual property and management of intellectual property in
an academic setting (especially due diligence, and licensing).
2. A degree in Management/Law.
C. Age Limit:
The applicant should not exceed 58 years of age on last date for the receipt of applications. In exceptional cases, relaxation of age can be allowed at discretion of the competent authority.
