Indo-Japan (NCBS/inStem-ISIR, Osaka University) Meeting: Interfacing Chemistry and Biology
The month of March begins with Indo-Japan meetings. The first one is the Kumamoto-NCBS/inStem workshop with the focus on the developments in the field of stem cell biology during which, we will have a delegation from the Institute for Molecular Embryology and Genetics in Kumamoto, Japan.
This will be followed by the Indo-Japan (NCBS/inStem-ISIR, Osaka University) meeting, exploring the cutting edge research in the field of chemical biology. Two eminent scientists (Prof. Kazuhiko Nakatani and Dr.ChikaraDohno) from Osaka University will be sharing their research; broadly falling in the areas of small molecule mediated recognition of nucleic acids with potential applications in disease diagnosis and treatment.
To facilitate some exchange with them, we’ve organised a series of talks spread across two days.
