Cytoskeletal proteins in cardiovascular development and disease
I am a SERB NDPF fellow and am working under the project proposal titled “Elucidating the role of Rudhira/BCAS3 in endothelial cell-cardiomyocyte cross-talk and coronary artery disease” using rudhira KO mouse embryos.
I am also tagging along with Minhaj lab in understanding the changes in the orientation of cardiomyocytes during development at micron-scale resolution (with 3D reconstruction) using the C57BL/6J wild type embryos at different developmental stages spanning E10.5dpc to E17.5dpc using a combination of whole mount embryo immunostaining and light-sheet microscopy.
I finished my PhD in Biological Sciences from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram in 2020.
My hobbies are listening to music, singing and reading books.
