M.Sc in Biophysics and Molecular Biology
Research Interest
I completed  Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Honours) in Microbiology from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Biophysics and Molecular Biology from University of Calcutta. My Masters' dissertation thesis in Dr. Sumita Sengupta's lab at the Department of Biophysics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics, University of Calcutta, I investigated the role of micro-RNAs in the regulation of autophagy initiation in breast cancer cell line. As a graduate student in Dr. Sudarshan Gadadhar's lab at inStem I am interested in determining how tubulin glutamylation regulates molecular processes in mammalian cilia and establish mechanistic links between perturbed tubulin glutamylation, cilia functions and specific human disorders Apart from science, I find my peace in singing and listening to good music. I am often found humming the tunes of my favourite songs while working in the lab. I also love to engage myself in doodling, sketching and watching crime thrillers
