MGEF is equipped to generate transgenic and knockout rodent models in-house using CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing technology, complemented by advanced assisted reproductive technologies (ART). MGEF caters 32 specialized services related to mouse model development and ART to both academic and non-academic institutions across India.

Our ART services, including genome editing, sperm cryopreservation, embryo cryopreservation, and rederivation facilitates the sharing of valuable animal models and foster collaborative research among the researchers across the country. This initiative paves the way for establishing a National Mouse Model Cryo-repository, promoting standardization, reproducibility, and accessibility in biomedical research throughout the country.
