The Science Setu programme was organised under the aegis of the Atmanirbhar Bharat, India@75 campaign in 2022. Aimed to build awareness about the importance of science in our lives and through engagements with practitioners, it is entitled “Discovering Possibilities” – showcasing the excitement, the challenges as well as the opportunities arising from a career in science. Science Setu at inStem covered research in contemporary areas, highlighting key outcomes in basic research, clinical translation and industry in the country. Virtual lab visits and lectures were planned as well as discussions on career opportunities for participating UG and PG students. Each webinar covers a topic in a manner accessible to college students and apart from contemporary cutting-edge research, involves colleagues who have faced challenges and success in allied areas such as science journalism, publishing, communications, history of science etc. The programme included interactions with established leaders in the industry as well as innovators and heads of technical hubs in the city and beyond.
