Wednesday, 08 October 2025

On Stem Cell Awareness Day (8 October 2025), the Advancing Academic Research through Pluripotent Stem Cell Biobanking webinar will highlight the growing importance of stem cell biobanks in advancing research and healthcare. It will cover principles of ethical sourcing, quality control, and governance, and showcase how biobanks support disease modeling, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine. Experts from across the world will share insights on building and accessing pluripotent stem cell resources, with a focus on Indian and global perspectives.

  • Cell Banking Strategies – Master and working cell banks by Dr . Glyn Stacey, ISCBI, Cambridge, UK
  • Data sharing policies in biobanks by Prof. Andreas Kurtz, Berlin Institute for Health-Center for Regenerative Therapies, Charité-Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, Germany
  • Advances in automation and AI in biobanking by Prof. Shin Kawamata, Cyto-Facto Inc. & Science, Technology and Innovation Department, Kobe University, Japan
  • Key steps in establishing an iPSC biobank by Dr. Lyn Healy, ISCBI, Cambridge, UK
