"I’m interested in investigating how the integrity of cytoskeletal signaling is essential for proper cardiovascular development. I look into cytoskeletal gene variants identified in our lab from multiple international and national cohorts and try to elucidate the mechanisms perturbed from normal homeostasis in the context of the development of cardiovascular disorders in general and cardiomyopathies in particular.
I use various genetic, biochemical, and biophysical tools across multiple model systems (hiPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, H9c2, HL-1 cardiomyocytes, and transgenic mice models) to address my questions."
